3rd Wave has changed the name of its IT support and consulting division to Ripple to avoid confusion with its wireless hotspot division 3rd Wave HotSpots.

Businesses all over Atlanta are “cutting the cord” on Internet access, and 3rd Wave is helping them to do it. Based in Atlanta, 3rd Wave will provide wireless Internet access points, called “HotSpots,” to retail businesses so they can provide it for their customers. 3rd Wave maintains a stance that this service should be free of charge. To this end, they have approached business owners in metro Atlanta to offer their services for free.
